Grossglocker Trophy 2010

Dear all entrants of Grossglockner Trophy 2010,

Some of you would have noticed that I, Japanese guy was photographing you during the event and have covered nearly all of your photos and would be more than happy to provide photos of you for the memory of the racing in bad weather! At the 2nd run, I was standing at curve No.7 from the beginning until the race was cancelled due to the heavy snow. I was completely soaked before the 1st racer appeared and could not believe that most of all decided to have a run under such a bad weather condition with their beautiful and beloved motorcycles, simply I was touched about your passion for motorcycling so that instead of trying to take "arty type" shots, concentrated to take everybody's photos to record that moment for you, brave enough to do that. Please feel free to contact me with your name and entrance number and I will email back to you with the photos. If you do not hear from me within one week, your email may be gone to the spam box so please send another one from different email address. And please put "Grossglockner 2010" on the title.



Some of you would be lucky to have some nicely focused photos.

But some of you would be unlucky to have only one and unfocused photo, but hope you would be happy to receive it as a piece of memory anyway.

グロスグロックナー・トロフィーという名のヒストリック・レーシング・イベントに参加してきました。グロスグロックナーというのはオーストリアのザルツブルグ、ケルンテン、チロルにまたがる標高3798mの山、氷河。レースの舞台はAlpine High Roadと呼ばれる1935年に開通した、その山岳地帯を貫く道路を一時閉鎖して行われ、12kmに渡って雲と氷山を横目に、大したガードレールも無い、ヘアピンが満載のコースを1962年以前のモーターサイクルでかっ飛ばす、というもの。グロスグロックナーを望みつつ、スタート地点から、ゴール地点までの標高差は約1,400m、ゴール地点の標高は2,428mということも非常にユニークで、世界一美しいレースといっても過言ではないかもしれません。 およそ200台もの車両がイギリス、イタリア、スイス、リヒテンシュタイン、チェコ、スロヴァキア、ハンガリー、ドイツ、スペイン、アメリカ、そしてオーストリアから集結、貴重なモーターサイクルを思いっきり走らせて楽しんでいました。その模様をかいつまんで数回に分けて紹介させていただきます。





これら3枚はすべてそのレースコースなんです！本番当日は霧、雨、雪で散々でしたが・・・霧の後ろにはこういった風景が繰り広げられているのだと思って、これからの写真をお楽しみいただければ幸いでございます。笑
