先日、ルイスレザーズにて「ディスカバリーチャンネル」というドキュメンタリー専門の番組のフィルミングがありました。10月ごろにカフェレーサー特集として放送されるそうなので、続報を待て!?

あいにくの天気にも関わらず、自分が大好きな面々が集ってくれて楽しい時間となりました。

There was a filming at Lewis Leathers London by the crew of Discovery Channel and the Cafe racer magazine from USA. I have heard that the programme about the Cafe racer culture will be broadcast on this October so I will inform once the date is fixed. Despite the temperamental weather, some cool rockers showed up and it was a really great site. Thank you guys for coming down and hope you enjoyed the day.

Believe or not BSA DAYTONA GOLD STAR

BSA DAYTONA GOLD STAR 紛れもない本物。エンジンを始動、あろうことか少しだけ試乗させていただきました！大興奮でございました。ノーマルゴルディーのセミメガホンタイプとは比べ物にならないド迫力のサウンド、スタートダッシュの鋭さには驚きました。リジッドの軽量フレーム、スペシャルギアボックスなどなど、すごい経験をさせていただきました。分かる方だけ唸ってください！彼の仕事場もこれがまたすごいのですが、それはまた今度改めて・・・

This is the legendary Daytona Gold Star, owned by the Goldie super enthusiast, Mr.P. The sound was absolutely roaring and the over run was even more edgy! He was kindly let me have a ride at the back yard, although I could only use the 1st gear, the dashing was so quick due to the lightness of the chassis and also the special gearing for the Daytona beach. Great memory, thank you so much!!

Breakfast at Hampstead Heath and Sunday Maintenance(as usual?)

これまで通り過ぎていただけだった、ハムステッド・ヒースにブランチを食しに初チャレンジ。Master Toshに教えてもらった場所にBSAを停め、森の小道を歩くとそこにカフェ。建物横の小さな木々のトンネルをくぐると一気に視界が拡がって、広々とした芝地、湖、森がある一気に楽園地帯にご案内。あまりに広すぎて、非現実的でした。緑（森）の多さはすごいぞ、ロンドン。

I used to ride around the Hampstead Heath as a part of my commuting way but never made my self park my bike and pop in the heath and cafe. I finally tried as Master Tosh recommended and I was so shocked how huge that place was, almost an unreal place and I enjoyed the sunny and peaceful afternoon. I paid for parking but other bikes did not seem to have paid... Is it free for motorcycles, I wonder.









しばらく光合成しながら本を読んで帰宅後整備DAYへ。

クラッチプレートのチェック
プレートの4本ナットを交換
（ゆるみ止めの出っ張りは大事ですねー。）
プッシュロッドにグリースたんまり
プライマリーチェーン交換
クラッチ・チェーン調整
プライマリーケース取り付け
エンジンオイル交換 GP50へ
ギアボックスオイル交換
ギアレバー部にグリース
エンジンフィンの清掃
タペットインスペクションキャップのガスケットやり直し
諸々を終えて気分良し。

トラは13日に前輪・チューブ交換。
タイヤレバーの本数が増えて、ようやくお気に入りのタイヤ交換スタイルが出来ました。

BSAの後輪話はまたいつか・・・

買い直したものが良くなくて、結局また買いなおし、挙句の果てに元々ついていたうちの2本を再利用。やれやれ。こういったノウハウをしっかりと勉強、蓄積されているのがプロのショップさんで、こうしたミスでちまちま浪費してしまうところがやっぱり素人ですね。それなりに楽しんでいるので良いのですが。

My mate, Shinya had the last sprint race in the U.K. His tuned T100 will spend her rest of life in Japan with all exciting and proud memories. Some may say the British bikes should stay in the U.K. but in this case, they will agree with his choice once what he has done and how deep he poured his passion into his machine are informed. I genuinely wish the best of luck to him and his career as a Triumph specialist in Japan.
